Moving on, the cosplays I made for this convention were Oz Bezarius/Vessalius, depending on your preferred spelling, from Pandora Hearts, and Tomoyo Sakagami from Clannad, summer uniform version. Perfect choice for a winter convention, the summer version of a school uniform. Brilliant thinking by me there. I actually did have a sensible reason for choosing the summer one though, I may or may not come to that later in this post or the next one. Until then you can just believe I'm stupid.
I don't have any pictures of my Oz cosplay yet. Or there are a few, but I won't show them to you, and if you unfortunately do stumble upon them in the depths of the internet I feel deeply sorry for your soul. Haha but no, in all seriousness now, there are pictures of my Oz cosplay that were taken at the con, but I didn't particulary like them, so that's why I won't post them on here. But good news, I had a photoshoot with Hansku (who cosplays Gilbert from the same series) and Ilse (who worked the camera) a couple of days ago, so I'll post those pictures as soon as I get them and edit them properly. Or "as soon as" might be a bit untrue, but I promise you won't have to wait several months to see them. It's something. Unfortunately our lovely Alice, Henna aka. Momo who rocked Pandora Hearts with us on Frostbite couldn't make it to the photoshoot we had afterwards, so those pics sadly (or maybe happily to some fangirls) contain only Gil and Oz. So I might as well upload one of the pictures from the photos we took during the con, just to be nice and show you our entire group.
There you go. You might be thinking that this picture isn't that bad, and think I'm stupid for not posting the rest, but this is definately the best picture from the entire shoot. That said, I'm not uploading any more pics of Oz from the con, you'll get to see the ones from our second shoot later instead, and actually get to look at nice pictures.
But then there was my other cosplay, the one I wore for Sunday, Tomoyo Sakagami. As I said earlier I made the summer version of the uniform, and I might as well tell you why. It was simply because I had all the materials needed on hand already. I didn't pay a single cent for the fabrics or the wig, I used leftovers from old cosplays. I only had to buy some accesories and fabric paints and I was all set, and it have been a dream of mine to cosplay from Clannad ever since I first started cosplaying, as it is an anime that always will be special to me as it managed to touch my heart like almost no anime ever had before. I do realize that sounds cheesy as fuck, but check it out, if it doesn't stir up your emotions even the slightest, especially the second season, you are officially a soulless bastard.
That being said, I did, unlike of Oz, get some nice pictures of this costume at the con, so here you go, Tomoyo Sakagami from Clannad:
All the pictures were taken by Heta aka. Poke. Please don't mind the con armband. But yeah, I don't have too much to say about this costume in general except SHORT SKIRT. Yeah I had to say that. But damn it's hard to try making yourself look like you have anime leg proportions with anything but an anime length skirt. Oh and also, just so you all pay some extra attention to it, I just have to comment on how much I like the way the school badge turned out. I painted it myself using a printed out picture as a reference, and I really do think the end result is super neat : 3
And then, finally, general pictures from the con, taken by me of some of the many awesome attendants:
And finally I'll throw in a pic of my hotel room buddies in their Sunday cosplays:
And even though I've already sneakily incorporated links to their blogs in my previous text, I'll just link them again, for you stupid people who only now realized the blue underlined words in the text were links, and who are now too lazy to scroll up to look for them;
Hetas and Hennas blog
Hanskus blog
Yeah I'm nice like that, advertising my friends blogs and stuff.
Anyways, I'm pretty much done here for today, I'll return later with more pictures of Oz and maybe (maybe, just maybe) pictures of my Frostbite costumes in the making. Until then, bye!
